Merit Badge College for Scouts

Merit Badge College (MBC) is an opportunity for all Boy Scouts 11 to 18 years of age to connect with merit badge counselors and work toward required and elective Merit Badges on their Trail to Eagle.

Each Scout may participate in TWO half-day or ONE full-day Merit Badge(s) of his choice. Merit Badge Sessions will close when online registration reaches class maximum as set by Counselor. Paper registrations are processed as they are received and Merit Badge sessions may already be closed. Paper registrations received for classes that are full will be returned. NO Late or Walk-in Registrations allowed for Merit Badge College.

Merit Badge applications ("Blue Cards") will be provided and will be distributed to unit leaders at their December Roundtable. Only Scouts who complete all Merit Badge requirements individually and completely with the degree of proficiency required by the instructor will have their Merit Badge card signed upon completion. For Merit Badges not completed during Merit Badge College, it will be the individual Scout's responsibility to acquire a Merit Badge Counselor with which to complete the Badge. For most Merit Badges, you should not expect to complete them at Merit Badge College.
